ITB CEC Team won 1st place for Chemical Engineering Challenge

More than 250 participants have attended the National Chemical Engineering Symposium (NACES 2015)  at Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak) from 4 to 6 December 2015 withTug of War: Fossil Fuels against Renewables as Symposium theme . The symposium was organised by Chemical Engineering Student Society of universities in Malaysia in collaboration with Chemical Engineering of all respected universities in Malaysia and Institution of Chemical engineers (IChemE) of Malaysia. NACES 2015 had seven categories namely Technical Essay Writing, Technical Case Study, Technical PowerPoint Presentation, Technical Debate Competition, Technical Video Presentation, Chemical Engineering Challenge, and Process Plant Design.

Chemical engineering department of Institut Teknologi Bandung had sent 3 teams to participate in this event consisting of Process Plant Design Team 1 (Ana Kemala Putri, Daniel, Stevent, Theresia Inggriani, Yessica Megistriani), Process Plant Design Team 2 (Aditya Rio, Aldo Utomo, Deni Yudha, Faris Sulistiawan, Pradipta Baskara), Chemical Engineering Challenge Team (Adi Theodosius, Agus Maulidan, Nursayyidah Ainun Jahsy, Stephen Joshua)

During NACES 2015, all participants must compete with other participants coming from various universities such as Institut Teknologi Bandung, National University of Singapore, Monash University Malaysia, University of Nottingham Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Univerisiti Malaysia Sabah, Univerisiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Pasir Gudang, UiTM Pulau Pinang, UiTM Shah Alam, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Finally, ITB CEC Team won 1st place for Chemical Engineering Challenge After completing three competition phases.!
